Principles of e-Marketing PDF Print E-mail

An online course entitled "Principles of e-Marketing " has been developed by Otilia Otlacan and hosted with UniversalClass Inc. The main course information is listed below. You can access the course details and the enrollment screen <HERE >.

Princis of e-Marketing – the purpose of this course is to present, at a basic to intermediate level, what exactly is electronic marketing, what principles govern it and how we can make use of it, in everyday life. It focuses especially on the issues of how this discipline was born, on the critical aspects of what makes the e-Marketing mix and what strategies are commonly used.
You'll go through the "birth" process of e-Marketing, the e-Marketing mix, analysis, planning, and will end the course with the e-Marketing plan.

Why "Principles of e-Marketing"?
Because we are continuously bombed with the very wrong and limited idea that e-Marketing refers to use of e-mails, banners, pop-up windows and so on. Well, these are only some techniques of e-Marketing and not at all the discipline itself. It is time that we take off the horse glasses and study this discipline from its principles and not reducing it to techniques. The course was developed and adapted from the author's degree dissertation paper on organizational e-Marketing, that was awarded the highest score at its time by an academic commission (2002, July).

You should not worry it is written in high academic language and using notions you do not understand yet: though structured and administered in a manner quite close to academic courses, it is developed for a basic to medium level and you are provided with a set of additional learning resources such as glossary of terms and definitions, intuitive drawings and sketches, recommended bibliography. In order to better support you, the course teacher will maintain permanent personal interaction with you (message board, online chat, email) and will provide you comprehensive feedback on your questions, as well as on your course related activities.

Who should take this course?
Students of Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences and Computer Science, who will find an excellent additional resource and help in understanding their academic courses. The course is also highly recommended for entry and middle-level professionals who feel the need to update themselves on the issues of online marketing; small biz owners and entrepreneurs who understand that the online market became so powerful that it's not whether to use the Internet or not, but how to use it in order to became more profitable.

Still, you do not have to be a marketing specialist or involved in academic activities in order to take this course: as an entity of the networked world we all live in, you're fully entitled to know and understand the transformations around you, the tools and means companies use to interact with you as a consumer in a market that went online. Aside for the implicit benefit of enriching yourself, you may find additional important benefits of taking this course: you can always add it as an achievement in your resume, solicit a recommendation letter from the teacher and prove your present or future employer your commitment and interest in developing yourself and your skills.
